Donegal TD warns of consequences for fisheries ahead of Brexit

There will serious implications for the fishing industry in the north west if contingency plans are not in place ahead of Brexit.

That’s according to a Donegal TD who is calling on the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed to assemble a forum of stakeholders from the marine and fishing industries.

Leas Cheann Comhairle and Fianna Fail spokesperson on marine affairs, Pat the Cope Gallagher, says if the UK leave without an agreement the results will be catastrophic for the entire sector.
