Public meeting to save Ballinfull Post Office

A public meeting to save a post office in North Sligo is due to take place next week.

Ballinfull Post Office, which served the Maugherow penninsula area for generations, has been shut since last August.

So far, the local community has not been successful in having the decision reversed, despite a strong campaign that included public meetings and lobbying various politicians.

It will now hold another public meeting on Monday, January 28th in Maugherow Hall.

Campaigner Orna McSweeney says they will continue to keep the pressure on the government.
