Perry raised concerns about Convention format before defeat



It’s emerged that former Minister, John Perry, wrote to the General Secretary of Fine Gael to express his concern at the format of the Ballymote-Tubbercurry Sligo County Council election convention before it was held on Friday night. As a a result of a directive issued by party headquarters on the geographical spread of candidates. Mr. Perry lost out on a nomination, with delegates choosing Gerard Mullaney, Blair Feeney, Martin Connolly and Dara Mulvey
