The West Sligo men become the first adult male Sligo GAA side to make to reach an All-Ireland club final.

They led Red Hugh’s by 0-7 to 0-3 at half-time, but the Donegal and Ulster champions were always in the hunt. The game’s decisive score came midway through the second-half when James Lindsay found the back of the Red Hugh’s net.

The Donegal champions threw everything at their opponents in a frenetic closing few minutes but Easkey held on to win and make history for themselves – and for Sligo GAA.
