The Save Leitrim Group will march on the Dail later this month in order to highlight the amount of the county that is currently being used for forestry plantations.
The march will take place on January the 30th.
in advance of the protest in the capital, the save Leitrim group are holding a number of public meetings through the County.
Meetings are scheduled to take place in Drumshanbo this evening and Manorhamilton tomorrow.
John Brennan is a member of the save Leitrim Group, he says one of the main aims of the protest march is to highlight the fact that forestry enterprises are being financed by the state.
