Gardai are advising motorists to be very careful driving in and around Sligo Town due to an extensive oil spill.
There were reports of the spill along Johns Street near the Cathedral and it extends along the road as far as grange on the N15
Sligo County Council are aware of the spill and will be carrying out cleanup as soon as possible.
Drivers are asked to slow down if travelling along the route as it could be very hazardous.
