A café for people with dementia and those caring for them is due to open at a hotel in Sligo.
The new Alzheimer Café will be held on the second Thursday of every month from 11am to 1pm, starting on Thursday January 17th, at the Glasshouse Hotel in Sligo town.
The café will be organised and led by a mix of professionals, carers, people with dementia and volunteers interested in the area.
Café Coordinator Clair Culkin says the new cafe will be a huge help to those living with Alzheimer’s and their families.
