Nurses and midwives at Sligo University Hospital and Letterkenny University Hospital will go on strike on January 30th.
The strike will see the INMO members withdraw their labour at the regions two acute hospitals for a 24-hour period over low wages and retention issues.
The work stoppage follows a ballot of its members in December and will also impact all community nurses services in the region.
INMO’s Industrial Relations Officer for the north west, Maura Hickey, has this message for patients who will be effected by the strike.
