IFA launch “Peer to Peer farm safety initiative”



Farmers in the north west are being warned to be aware of the day to day dangers that exist on farms.

 

The warning is being issued to coincide with the IFA’s  “Peer to Peer Farm Safety initiative which is aimed at encouraging farmers to undertake practical measures that will reduce risks on their respective farms.

 

There were fifteen farm fatalities in this Country last year.

 

Willie Shortall is the IFA’s Health and Safety Executive.  He says that there farmers need to review safety procedures.
