New respite service to open in Tullaghan in March

A new respite service for those with disabilities is expected to open in March in Tullaghan in north Leitrim.

It follows the closure of the Solas Centre in Ballytivnan in 2017, which affected at least 28 families of people needing respite in the Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal area.

Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy says the HSE has now confirmed the respite service will be restored under the Rehab Care Services in a HSE-owned building in Tullaghan.
