13 people killed on roads across the north west in 2018



There were 13 people killed on the roads across the north west last year.

According to figures from the Road Safety Authority, Donegal had the highest number of fatalities in region where 10 people lost their lives on the roads.

There were two people killed in Leitrim and one person in Sligo in 2018.

Nationally there were 143 fatal collisions resulting in 150 fatalities from the period of January to December last year.

Spokesperson for Donegal road safety group A-CEART, Mary Clinton, says she is disappointed with the Donegal figures.
