A man has died along the Sligo/Mayo border last night.
The alarm was raised at 10pm when he was reported missing and Gardai then called on the services of the Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team.
Even at the late hour, seven members responded where a joint searched was carried out by Gardaí, the SLMRT and the Coastguard.
The man had parked in a boggy area of Moylough, Co. Sligo and his body was located around 100 metres from his parked car.
The tragedy follows the successful airlift rescue of a woman on St. Stephens day from Knocknarea.
