Funding granted for improvements on N56 route in Donegal

Funding has been granted for a number of road improvements along the N56 route in Donegal.

Money has been sanctioned to continue work on three major projects in Mountcharles, Kilmacrennan and Dungloe/Glenties.

The Minister for Transport, Shane Ross approved the funding following recommendations from Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

It’s expected the works will be completed by the end of next year.

Donegal Fianna Fail Deputy, Pat the Cope Gallagher, says the N56 road is a critically important route for the entire north, west and south of the county.
