There are major concerns for the residents in the Windmill Park housing estate in Drumkeerin that walk to and from the village.
No foot path was ever included on the original planning application for the estate which is located on the Road 280.
Local Councillor Mary Bohan has now called on the Council to provide a footpath as a matter of urgency in the interest of health and safety of the residents.
Speaking recently at the Manorhmilton Municipal District meeting of Leitrim Council, Councillor feels that it should not be up to the local community to come up with the funds to provide the required foot path.
