Drumcliffe sculpture may have been stolen earlier than first thought



The Drumcliffe Development Association says there has been an overwhelming repose to the appeal for information regarding a statue that was stolen from the church a car park.

The statue forms part of a larger sculpture which displays the WB Yeats poem, He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven.

It was initially thought the sculpture was taken last weekend however it’s now believed it may have be stolen as early as Wednesday, December 12th .

Spokesperson for the association, Jarlath Gantly, says they have received some good leads in the investigation.
