€500,000 funding for Western Development Commission



An additional 500,000 euro in funding has been announced for the Western Development Commission.

The money will support the Atlantic Economic Corridor initiative – which includes counties Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo and the Western Investment Fund.

The AEC project is a collaborative initiative, with public and private stakeholders to develop the strengths and assets of the cities and towns along our western seaboard, from Donegal to Kerry.

The announcement was made at a meeting of the Atlantic Economic Corridor Taskforce in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.
