Cawley & Mahon collect Rovers Player of the Season Awards



Sligo Rovers midfielder David Cawley was named the club’s Senior Player of the Year on Wednesday night at a question-and-answer event for the club’s supporters in the Clayton Hotel.

John Mahon’s breakthrough season with the club was also rewarded as he was named Young Player of the Year.

The other award winners were:

Women’s Player of the Season: Roisín Moll0y

Under 19 Player of the Season: Scott Lynch

Under 17 Player of the Season: Tyler Stallard

Under 15 Player of the Season: Odhrán Groarke

The awards were presented on the same night as manager Liam Buckley confirmed the signing of Bermuda international defender Dante Leverock on a one-year contract.

John Russell has also re-signed as a player for next season. He will also be part of Buckley’s management team, along with Dave Campbell, in 2019.
