Filter lanes to be introduced at Croghan and Cooethall junctions on N4

Commitments have been made by Transport Infrastructure Ireland to fund safety work on the N4 between Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon at the Croghan and Cooethall Junctions.

Safety concerns had been raised by a local community group in relation to the number of accidents which have occurred at the locations in recent times.

Commitments have now been made to provide right filter lanes at the junctions for Croghan and Cooethtall.

Local resident Noel McTiernan says these safety improvements will be welcome news for the local community.
