Small Business Saturday is on today encouraging people to shop local



People are being asked to spend locally in small businesses this weekend to help the vibrancy of town and village centres.

‘Small Business Saturday’ today is being held all over the country.

If Christmas shoppers spend just 20 euro extra in small firms this would lead to a cash boost of over 73 million euro for them.

Locally in Sligo, The Quayside Shopping Centre Christmas Market is on each day until Christmas Eve from 10am where a large variety of local businesses have stalls with their products for sale.
