Uncertainty surrounds availability of abortion services in the region



Uncertainty remains about the level of abortion services that will be available in the north west, more than five months after the passing of the abortion referendum.

The president of the National Association of General Practitioners has told Ocean FM News that the situation will remain unclear until January at least.

Conscientious objections, the availability of ultrasound, provision of aftercare and legal indemnity are among the reasons why some GP’s have questions about providing the service.
