Funding of half a million euro has been announced this afternoon for phase two of the Coolaney National Mountain Bike Trail.
The announcement was made by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring, at Coolaney Community Centre.
The Minister was in the village to turn the sod on the new development, which is expected to be in operation early next year.
The latest funding follows on from grant aid of 840,000 euro allocated to the project last year.
Minister Ring described it as a superb facility.
