The Quality and supply of water in North Leitrim is to improve over the coming weeks.
That’s after confirmation that Irish Water, working in partnership with Leitrim County Council, is set to commence works from Kinlough to Tullaghan on the week commencing 26th November.
The renewal works will involve the decommissioning of old and damaged pipes and will involve laying new water service connections from a recently laid water main in the public road which will then be connected to private households and businesses.
Local Fianna Fail Councillor Justin Warnock says it’s welcome news for the area.
