Sinn Féin leader attends Remembrance event for WWI soldiers in Sligo today



Mary-Lou McDonald was in Sligo today to remember those who had fallen in the First World War.

The Sinn Fein Leader attended a Service of Remembrance and Reconciliation this morning at Calry Church which was organised by Sligo Grammar School.

Members of an Garda Siochana and the Defence Forces were also at the service today

Deputy McDonald says that there was a significant human cost to Irish people in The great War.

The Sinn Fein leader also says the stakes are very high when it comes to Brexit.

Deputy McDonald says they look forward to seeing the details of the plan.
