Public meeting over Cootehall/Croghan junction fears

There are growing fears in the local region as regards safety issues on the N4 following an escalation of accidents at the Cootehall/Croghan Junction which is situated just outside Boyle.

The Route is travelled daily by many commuters to and from Sligo on a daily basis as recently as last week another Collision occurred at the location.

Concerned local residents have highlighted the issue over a period of time but have been left disappointed with the lack of action. As a result a public meeting is taking place later this evening at St Michael’s GAA Grounds in Cootehall.

Local resident Noel McTiernan has been telling Ocean FM News that there are serious concerns in the community that fatalities will take place if the situation is not addressed.
