There has a been a positive reaction to the idea of a one way traffic system in Collooney village.
Local Cllr Thomas Healy said a public meeting with residents and business owners on the main street showed people would be in favour of the change.
Traffic congestion due to the relatively narrow streets and increasing populaton has been causing problems at busy times during the day.
Cllr Healy is raising the idea of one way system at today’s meeting of Sligo County Council.
