The biggest video game of the year has a Sligo connection



One of the largest and most expensive video games of all time has a Sligo connection.

‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ by Rockstar Games, makers of video game series, ‘Grand Theft Auto’ released worldwide on Friday.

The game has a western theme set in the US in 1899 and follows the story of the fictitious ‘Arthur Morgan’ who is played by actor Roger Clark.

Roger was born in New Jersey but moved to Sligo at a young age where he went to St. Mary’s College, Ballisodare.

Mr. Clark went on to study acting in the UK where he earned a BA in Theatre, Media and Drama.

While no figure has been released, the previous video game by Rockstar was GTAV which has gone on to be the most profitable entertainment product of all time with over 90 million sales and more than $6b in revenue.
