Minister to explore using Skype to interview teachers abroad for jobs here



Donegal Minister for Education and Skills Joe McHugh is to examine to use of Skype in carrying out interviews for teaching positions.

The move is aimed at teachers abroad and hopes to bring more Irish teachers home to fill Irish teaching positions.

Addressing the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals Association, Minister McHugh mooted the idea to the some 500 Principals and Deputy Principals in attendance.

Meanwhile Sligo Councillor Marie Casserly said a similar idea she put before Sligo County Council for recruitment has proved very successful in its implementation.
