Sligo Town can look forward to new parking meters being installed in the near future. .
About sixty old parking machines are to be replaced, starting next week.
For some time, there have been complaints about the old machines, many of which have not been working in recent times.
When it comes to using the new machines, customers will be able to pay by phone, SMS, website or in retail outlets, all of which means motorists will not have to return to their vehicles to top up their payments.
