Dail to approve Donegal Deputy as Minister for Education & Skills

It’s expected that Donegal will have a new minister by the end of the day, with Donegal Deputy Joe McHugh becoming Minister for Education and Skills.

Deputy McHugh will be appointed later today following Dail approval to the position of Minister for Education and Skills as part of the cabinet reshuffle following Deputy Denis Naughton’s resignation last week.

Other appointments expected to be approved by the Dail today include Richard Bruton as Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, Sean Kyne as Government Chief Whip and Minister with Responsibility for the Gaeltacht and Independent TD Sean Canney as Minister of State for Rural Affairs and Natural Resources.
