New measures launched in Sligo to combat crime

Sligo has launched its first property marking machine in an effort to tackle crime.


The machine uses Eircodes which are etched onto the piece of property and enables it to be traced if it goes missing.


The new machine was launched at the Joint Policing Committee meeting in Ballymote  by the Gardai and the Council who paid for the machine.
