A Donegal TD says he didn’t realise the significance of his Fossil Fuel Divestment Bill which has received international recognition.
The bill introduced by Independent TD Thomas Pringle means the government will no longer invest in companies that extract fossil fuels and is a major step towards tackling climate change.
Deputy Pringle has spoken on the bill at a major international Climate Change conference alongside people like former President Mary Robinson.
