There are fears a serious accident will occur on what is now one of the busiest roads in Sligo town during peak traffic times in the mornings and afternoons.
It’s on Finisklin Road where there’s a secondary school and a factory, as well as the new Lidl store, which opened last week.
Local Fine Gael activist Blaine Gaffney says there’s already been numerous ‘near misses’ on the road.
He told Ocean FM News there are two problems in the area:
