No additional leader funding for Donegal

Donegal will not be getting any additional money under the 2014-2020 Leader Programme.

That’s despite an additional 30 million euro having been added to the national budget for Leader.

.

Donegal has so far drawn down only 35% of the original allocation.

As a result the Minister for rural and community development, Michael Ring has refused to allocate any extra funding to the County.

Donegal Fianna Fail TD, Charlie McConalogue claims the reason only 3.9 million of the original funding has been drawn down is due to government’s poor management of the fund.
