A Leitrim Councillor is calling for farmers and landowners to avail of an increased grant to ensure their hedges are cut.
Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott says the grant has been increased from €50 to €75 per kilometre.
The hedgecutting season is from the first of September until the last day in February and the deadine for applying is the 30th of November.
