Post office campaigners in north Sligo are annoyed that An Post regarded only part of their submission for retaining services in their area as relevant.
Despite have compiled a lengthy and detailed submission, An Post says the two main areas considered were distances from other post offices and population.
But Maugherow resident Noel Darcy says people feel the criteria used in deciding to close their local Ballinfull post office was narrowed as time went by.
And he says they still have ‘no idea’ how An Post calculated the local population in making their decision.
