Doherty unhappy with lack of progress for children with disabilities

Donegal Sinn Féin TD Pearse Doherty has called on the Minister for Health, Simon Harris to honour commitments he made concerning children that require spinal surgery.

Last year the Minister for health gave a commitment that no child would be waiting more than four months for spinal surgery.

Recent figures released by the H.S.E. indicate that up to 3,850 children across the Country with a disability or suspected disability are overdue a needs assessment.

Sinn Fein’s deputy leader feels that the Government have failed to meet their targets and a

s a result many families in the North West region are suffering terrible consequences as a result.
