Primary schools urged to join programme that promotes understanding of the European Union

Primary schools throughout the region are being urged to become involved in a programme that promotes a better understanding of the European Union.

It’s called the Blue Star Programme, and the closing date for schools to enter is September 28th.

Some of the activities schools have done; make traditional food from European countries, wrote and acted out a play and one class recreated the famous ‘The Creation of Adam’ painting in the Sistine Chapel by painting under their desks.

Since it’s inception in the 2011-2012 academic year, 23 primary schools in Donegal have participated in the program.
