Summerhill Principal says schools are waiting too long for investment



A Sligo School Principal says he hopes some of the €12bn investment in education will come to the North West.

The government announced an 11.9 billion euro investment today as part of the Project Ireland 2040 plan.

Principal of Summerhill College Paul Keogh says they are waiting for news on their application for an extension for sometime now.

He says Summerhill is growing but they need to extend the capacity of the school to take on additional numbers.

Speaking to Ocean FM News today, Mr. Keogh has welcomed the allocation but hopes that schools here in the North West will be able to access that money soon:
