Leitrim Animal Welfare’s early Christmas message



‘An animal is for life, not for Christmas.’

That’s the message from Christine Coulson of Leitrim Animal Welfare after a dog was left tied up at the their centre in Drumkeerin earlier this month.

The animal’s feet were tied with bailing twine so he was physically unable to move.

The centre’s staff took care of the animal who is otherwise in good condition.

Staff are now hoping to raise funds for CCTV equipment to help identify people who abandon animals at their gates.
