Councillor condemns local Senator for distribution of shamrock poppies



A Donegal councillor has criticised Senator Frank Feighan for posting over a thousand shamrock poppies to TDs, Senators and councillors to help commemorate the Irish who died in World Wars. Cllr Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig claims the poppy remains essentially a British Army symbol and has also questioned the cost to the taxpayer in posting out the badges
