Sligo council to hold special meeting to hear from those who want to be president



Sligo County Council is to hold a special meeting to hear from those who want to be president.

The support of four local authorities or 20 Oireachtas members is necessary to get a nomination to be on the ballot paper.

Yesterday, a number of aspiring candidates addressed Leitrim County Council.

Sligo councillors decided at their meeting yesterday to hear a number of presidential hopefuls make their case on Wednesday, September 12th.
