More than 90,000 euro worth of work is to be done in a town park in south Sligo.
The improvements will start in the coming days in Ballymote.
They include resurfacing a dangerous path as well as drainage works on a new extension to the park.
Local Fianna Fail Councillor Keith Henry says there will be some disruption for users of the park with certain sections closed.
But he says it’s all in the name of progress:
