Sligo Principal says ‘no stone left unturned’ to ensure Pope’s visit a success



Former Donegal Manager Jim McGuinness are the early front-runners to succeed Stephen Rochford as Mayo football manager.A Sligo seconday school principal has described his involvement in the special Gathering Event that took place before the pope’s arrival in Knock last Sunday as a ‘phenomenal’ experience.

Paul Keogh, from Summerhill College in Sligo, was one of the MCs for the event, a mixture of music, song and reflections, which also had big-screen live-feed televised coverage of the pope’s progress on his journey to Knock.

The event also provided a massive ‘Cead Mile Failte’ for Pope Francis when he finally arrived at the Marian Shrine.
