The south Sligo town of Ballymote has got a new heart defibrillator.
It is located outside the Community Library.
Fine Gael Councillor Dara Mulvey says the fact that the defibrillator can be used 24-hours a day makes it a particularly valuable service.
He says a number of people were involved in providing it:
