There is a free waste collection on in Sligo today.
The amenities at Greenstar Sligo has been accepting used batteries and electrical equipment since 8am this morning and is running until 12.30pm.
There is also a collection getting underway at 10am this morning at Barna in Tubbercurry and will be running until 4pm.
People are advised that there will be traffic disruption in these areas today and if you are travelling to plan ahead.
Pete Murtagh, Sligo County Council’s Enviromental Officer, says there are a large number of centres to recyle around the county.
