IT Sligo President says major projects need engineering graduates

The Head of IT Sligo says there’s huge demand for engineering graduates.

Dr. Brendan McCormack says major infrastructural projects like the N4 Castlebaldwin Collooney are looking for skilled graduates in science and engineering all the time.

But he says the uptake by school leavers is still low.

Dr. McCormack was speaking to Ocean FM News today as students consider their CAO options this week.

He says science and engineering has alot of job opportunities:

He says there are still vacancies on many courses and he’s urging all students to consider their options.

He also says there is plenty of student accommodation in Sligo and it will cost you at least €250 less per month that in Dublin!

Students can contact the IT Sligo Hotline on 071-931-8510 or email info@itsligo.ie.
