Rents are rising across the North West region.
The latest report by property website daft.ie shows that rents are up over 6% in both Sligo and Leitrim.
The last report in June showed a fall in rents in Donegal but the county is now too following the upward trend with an almost 2% increase.
It means that the average rent for a three-bed house in Sligo is just under €700 (€698), it’s just under €600 (€594) in Donegal and it’s €569 per month in county Leitrim.
It follows another report by the Simon community yesterday which showed that most people in this region on housing rental supports like HAPS cannot find accommodation because it’s too expensive.
