32 marathons in 32 days charity event in Leitrim today

Three Belfast runners were in Leitrim today as they continued a charity challenge to complete 32 marathons in 32 days across every county in Ireland.

Beechmount Harriers Noel McNally, Paul Tyrrell and Niall Farquharson are aiming to raise an ambitious £100,000 in aid of The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity in Belfast.

The challenge began at the start of August, and will continue until the September 2.

The runners completed the Leitrim leg at Lough Key.

They will continue the challenge in Enniskillen tomorrow, and the event will also bring them to Falcarragh in Donegal on Sunday; to Sligo Town on Monday; to Ballina in Mayo on Tuesday; and to Castlerea in Roscommon on Wednesday.
