Inquest into the death of Sligo woman missing last year concludes

A 34-year-old Co Sligo woman died from drowning an inquest has heard.

The inquest into the death of Roisin Dolan was held at Sligo Coroners Court yesterday.

34-year-old Roisin Dolan’s body was found on Coney Island on October 22 last year.

She had been missing for almost two weeks before her body was found.

A public appeal was launched to trace her whereabouts after she went missing on October 11, and a sea and air search then took place.

The Cororners Court was told yesterday that post mortem found that Ms Dolan died by drowning, and that toxicology reports found that there no traces of medication or drugs in her system.

The coroner ruled that the cause of death was salt water drowning.
