Sligo youngsters impress at U14 Boys Open



Daniel Mulligan from Laytown & Bettystown swept to victory at the Irish U14 Boys Amateur Open, winning by 11 shots at Mullingar.
Mulligan added a second round 73 to finish at three under for the tournament, having enjoyed a six-shot lead after the first round.
County Sligo Golf Club youngster Aodhagan Brady finished in a tie for 11th after a round of 77 today, four shots better than yesterday’s opening round.
The 12-year-old was also part of the Co Sligo team that claimed the Connacht Junior Foursomes title in Galway Bay earlier this week.
Fellow Rosses Point member Sean McLoughlin, who was this week named on the GUI team for the Scottish U14 Championship on the week after next, shot an opening round of 83, and a 79 today left him in 28th position overall.
